Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires. Well start with the gentrified Puerto Madera, then past Plaza de Mayo into the city. Hey, its Sunday. In San Telmo, Avenue Defensa is closed to motor traffic. Crafts, buskers, performance artists and turista hordes with digi-cams on extended arms, throng the street. Then over for a jaunt in the lively necropolis of the Recoleta Cemetery (Eva says Hola!). Over in the upscale Palermo, I trekked through relentless manicured parks to the holy grail of Buenos Aires - Club de Pescadores, perched over the muddy Rio de la Plata. Argentina - Kinetic Snapshots

Raw and uncensored footage never before seen in theaters or on DVD from a trip to Argentina. A pastiche of action clips pretty much following the journey - Buenos Aires, Tafi del Valle, Cafayate, Salta, Humuhuaca, Iruya, Tilcara, then Salta and BsAs again.

Vroom Vroom

Suddenly, the crickets were silenced. Birds stopped singing. Pets cowered in basements. Windows slammed shut and doors locked, while humble townsfolk hid beneath their beds. From over the horizon came the approach of an ominous rumbling. They were back. The moto hordes. And the muscular musical accompaniment is Moto Shagg by April March.

Australia to Holland with a Bike

I sailed into Sydney harbor from the 18th century aboard the HMS Bounty. After hanging around Sydney-side, I mounted my steed pedaling the long haul north on endless roads under a big sky. I rolled through scrub and savannah, swerving around dead roos sleeping on the roadside. After neglecting to heed the warning sign, I was forced to run for my life, pursued by a bloodthirsty pack of koalas. Onwards, I crossed the Tropic of Capricorn, zipped past Townsville, explored the bush around Cardwell and finally reached Cairns. But stayed beyond up at Trinity Beach. Just in time for Show Day. Then I hopped aboard the big silver bird, rounding the planet to Europe. I was dropped from 100 meters into Rheinland, Germany. South to cut the corner of Switzerland, then lugging up the arduous climb to Col de Bussang. Then through rainy pre-Sarko France and post-Manneken Pis Belgium. Finally The Netherlands - land of stroopwafel, drop and vla. Plus, there's a celebtrity-related surprise just bound to elicit a yawn. The musical accompaniment is Power and the Passion by Midnight Oil and Triggers by April March.

Greece

After taking the ferry from Brindisi, we land on Corfu and make our way to the famous Pelekas (amongst backpackers) to kip on the hillside under the trees. Then on to smoggy Athens. In Piraeus, we hopped a ferry to the islands, passing Ios and Naxos, before sailing into the crater of Thira (or Santorini). We kipped on the black sand beach of Kamari. Finally Crete, Heraklion (and its famously ugly dry fountain) and the ruins of Knossos. I first ventured east on the island to Sitia and its shipwreck, then to Vai, sleeping out in open under palm trees. Finally, to Europes southern most point of Lentas. As an added bonus, well teleport to Cyprus for the briefest of glimpses of Limassol. The musical accompaniment is (naturally) Zobra the Greek by John Murphy & David Hughes, wrapped up with Trains to Brazil by The Guillemots.

Safari Sauvage - Basleland


In the deepest, darkest jungles of Switzerland, lies the lost canton of Basleland. Here live a primitive Stone Age people, who speak a strange language called yodeling. It was rumoured that they worshipped the chicken dragon. Eventually, an expedition was mounted to find proof. First, it was necessary to traverse the relentless Suisse Desert, before fording rivers, hauled by great indigenous beasts. After several months, a lone survivor of this ill-fated safari stumbled out of the jungle clutching this film. The musical accompaniment is One Step Beyond by Madness.

New Zealand

New Zealand. A road trip around Aotearoa. My steed and I alighted the big silver bird in Auckland. After procuring a map, I forged up through Northland to the top. (while swerving around dead possums and hobbits in the road.) Then back down to the sulfuric airs of Rotorua, and onto LakeTaupo and Wellington. Crossing the strait via ferry, I rolled south along the coast before turning inland to Queenstown for a hike up a mountain and a leap off a bridge.Then back to the coast to Dunedin and Christchurch. And its true about biking NZ - All the hills go down and theres always a strong tailwind. The musical accompaniment is Allegretto by Bond, wrapped up with Vivaldis Concerto in G.

Skipping Across Asia

I hurled down through the atmosphere, landing in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Just in time for the camel market in Pushkar. After not finding anything in the colour I liked (blue), I headed east for a peek at the Taj Mahal. From there a great bound to Varanesi for a refreshing splash in the polluted Ganges. Then over for a quick stop in Dhaka, Bangladesh to checkout the organically propelled taxis. A hop over to Burma. First in Rangoon, a climb up to the Schwedagon Pagoda. With the glare off the gold and marble, you really need some shades. Then by train, I rolled north to the ancient city of Pagan, with its scattered temples and pagodas. Next, Bangkok, Thailand for three very uninspiring temple photos. With a sharp turn south via motor coach, I briefly visited the bustling hamlet of Singapore. The final stop was on Bali amongst the palms and the beach beyond, for body-surfing time, before leaping up into the stratosphere. The musical accompaniment is Jet Lag by Zazie.TECHNICAL NOTE: More images were captured in my minds eye than with the camera. Unfortunately, I dont have a telepathy adapter for my scanner.

A Trek in Nepal

The Himalaya - Roof of the world. After setting down in Kathmandu and alighting from the big silver bird, we bussed to the Annapurna circuit. Our journey went counter clock wise. From terraced slopes to the Thorang Pass up into thin air at over 5400 meters. Through both Hindu and Buddhists cultures. We hauled our own gear on our own backs. Unlike some lazy rich bastards who hired porters to lug their crap, while traipsing around carrying only cameras. The musical accompaniment is Instinctive Traveler by Dissidenten.

Morocco (and Gibraltar)

From Gibraltar, crossing by ferry to the Kingdom of Morocco, and finally setting foot on the continent of Africa in Tangier. From there it was by motor coach south to Fes, Marrakesh to the coast at Essaouira. There, I plunged into the Atlantic and swam to South America. The musical accompaniment is Dirge by Death in Vegas.
